Pioneering Innovations in Ophthalmology (PIO), the biggest ophthalmology conference of Pakistan successfully held their fifth occurrence dated 16th February, 2019 with a focus towards ‘Recent Advancements in Refractive Procedures’. Refractive surgery refers to any procedure that corrects or minimizes refractive errors and improves vision. Refractive surgical procedures are constantly evolving with novel solutions to address complex patient needs in vision care. The goal of the event was to bring ophthalmic experts from around the globe to connect with likeminded medical professionals and learning practitioners to engage, share and discover novel ideas and excellence in refractive procedures along with coping with the latest trends and challenges in ophthalmology.
