Dr. Asma Kamran is a comprehensive consultant ophthalmologist bringing over 5 years of broad clinical practice with a special focus in vitreo-retinal disorders. She is qualified with an MBBS from Jinnah Medical & Dental College and Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) in Vitro-Retina. During her educational tenure she was exposed to positive growth, exposure and opportunities for women in ophthalmology, inspiring and leading her interest towards the eyecare sector
Dr. Asma Kamran takes care of patients with a wide array of retinal diseases and conditions such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), epiretinal membrane surgery, diabetic retinopathy and more. She has performed numerous cataract surgeries, laser eye treatments, vitreo-retinal surgeries as well as minor eye procedures. She also specializes in traumatic cases such as corneal repair among others. When it comes to patient care, she believes in investing her time and efforts in managing proper counselling sessions from pre to post eyecare follow-ups
She is an active member of Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan (OSP) and Pakistan Vitreo Retina Society (PVRS). She has been a key part of various on-going seminars and speaker sessions. She has authored a couple medical publications covering vitreo retinal studies.
